Vivian Le Tran

Medical Student

I graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 2016 with a B.A. in Integrative Biology and Public Health, after which I volunteered as an ARCH intern during my gap year. Currently, I am a medical student at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California (USC). I first developed an interest in combating health disparities while working with the Hep B Project during undergrad, a student group that provides free hepatitis B services, including screenings, vaccinations, and education, to under-served East Bay communities. In medical school, I have continued to stay connected with the Asian American community by attending volunteer events in the Asian American community through APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association) and as a scholar for the Asian Pacific Alumni Association at USC. My goal as a future physician is to gain a better understanding of the health disparities that prevent Asian Americans from receiving quality care and use this knowledge to better serve my community.
