Dr. Jacqueline H. J. Kim is a licensed clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in Residence at the Department of Medicine (Hematology/Oncology) at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. Dr. Kim’s research focuses on examining psychological health across diverse contexts, to develop culturally appropriate psychosocial interventions that promote well-being. With a primary focus on (advanced/metastatic) cancer survivorship, internalizing distress, stress, and trauma, she leads many projects that are community-engaged and community-driven. Dr. Kim collaborates on projects that advocate for improving the coping and quality of life of racial/ethnic minority populations with her expertise of mixed methods and clinical knowledge of psychological assessments, diagnosis, and treatments.
