I am a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Public Health Sciences at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. My research lives across the fields of public health, genetic and social epidemiology, social work, and medical humanities. I am devoted to community-based participatory methods that empower members of the community to drive health research design and problem solving, often in the context of cancer prevention and control. My current projects center the lived experiences of Asian and Asian American communities in the Midwest to address issues of health equity including access to quality health-care services. In my personal time, I am a board member of OCA St. Louis, a nonprofit group advocating for the social, economic, political, and economic wellbeing of all Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander people. Some of my likes include ice cream, sleepy cats, and analog clocks; I dislike staying up late, stereotypes, and audio books.
