Adrian Matias Bacong

Adrian Matias Bacong, PhD, MPH is a Research Data Specialist at the California Civil Rights Department. He was previously a postdoctoral research scholar in Cardiovascular Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine and the Stanford Center for Asian Health Research and Education. His research explores the intersections of immigration and structural racism on health, especially among Asian individuals. His work also examines health disparities in cardiovascular disease and diabetes by immigration/citizenship status and among racially minoritized individuals. Dr. Bacong earned his MPH in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences from San Diego State University and his PhD in Community Health Sciences from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
