Shuyang Huang

Shuyuan Huang is an Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow and Provost Postdoctoral Fellow at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from Yale School of Nursing and an MPH from Emory University. Dr. Huang’s research focuses on women’s health, gestational diabetes, cardiometabolic diseases, digital health, lifestyle behaviors, and health disparities. Her work aims to advance clinical care through continuous, accessible, and culturally relevant digital tools for diverse pregnant and postpartum individuals with gestational diabetes. Dr. Huang’s research is supported by NIH/NIMHD, Heilbrunn Nurse Scholar Award, Connecticut Nurses’ Foundation Scholarship Award, and Sigma Theta Tau Delta Mu Professional Development Award. One of her current projects, the Rutgers-NYU CAHPE P50 pilot project, investigates 24-hour activity and cardiometabolic health in Chinese American women with a history of gestational diabetes, aiming to identify barriers and facilitators to meeting physical activity and sleep guidelines.
